Today on The Bar Star Podcast I’m flying solo for the first time in a while! I got some stuff to ramble about and something I think is cool concerning the book. I also have a couple of side stories because according to Staci, my brain is overrun with Squirrels. Cheeseburger ice cream mountain float top and I answer a few email questions that I seem to keep getting.
Social Media Issues – People are getting too butt hurt when their posts aren’t responded to but there’s a good explanation.
Stories From The Stage – I had a run in several years ago with a tour manager that almost got ugly.

Scott has some great memories and cool stories about hanging with Nikki Sixx, Chad Kroeger and all kinds of shenanigans in Las Vegas. Today on the show, I sit down with my buddy, Erik McEwen. Erik is a bass player for many projects as well a co-host of another podcast in Louisville. He’s been playing for 20 years but didn’t start playing until later in life. He has a great appreciation for Motown and loves to groove and hang back on stage. Erik's co-hosting duties are for a podcast called Shooting From The Lip which covers many Louisville people, businesses and musicians.

This week on The Bar Star Podcast I’m hanging out with the one and only Jesse Vest. Jesse is the current bass player for the Louisville Crashers but he’s had an interesting music career. Jesse was a founding member of Days Of The New and they got a record deal when Jesse was fresh out of high school. We talk about what it was like to tour with Metallica when Jesse was just 20 years old! He has seen and done far more than most of us can imagine and he looks back on that time in his life with a distant fondness. This episode was so cool because Jesse rarely talks about his time in Days Of The New or Tantric so I’m sure you guys will dig this as much as I did.

The Bar Star Podcast and I have defeated #RMT and we’re stoked!! That’s right, I finally get to hang and record a conversation with my buddy, Ryan Murphy. We talk all kinds of stuff from having a stage in his garage, growing up working in music stores and learning from great drummers along the way. We also talk about working bands, how to keep things level & fresh within a band and Ryan has some great stories as he has seen a lot of things from behind a music store counter.
